Event Details

This online event will begin on Monday July 28 at 8pm Eastern.

 

At the start, you and all participants will be randomly and anonymously assigned to groups of six. You each will work individually to enter a response to a question within a time limit.

You are then presented with all the responses from your group. You must then select the entry that best reflects your group’s overall sentiment. Your selection auto-populates into your text entry area for refinement according to instructions. This process repeats for each new question, which build upon previous questions.

Synanim tracks your selection choices and from this assigns you a score built from two components, an entry score (based on how many people selected your entry) and a vote score (based on how many others selected the entry you choose). The vote score measures your empathy to group values.

At the end of the session, the person with the highest score in your group is chosen as your group representative to move on to a later round. If they are unable to participate further, they may opt out and the person with the next-highest score will be chosen, and so on until someone opts in.

 

The pyramid at right shows how many selected representatives will move forward from each session, starting with as many as 46,656.

Subsequent sessions will begin on the following day at the same time as the initial session. However, the event will complete on Thursday, July 31. If we are at capacity, the final three sessions will be held that same day.
